Nigerian actors have rallied around Aremu Afolayan to support him following the death of his mother, Omoladun Afolayan.

In honor of his mother, Omoladun Afolayan, who passed away eight days ago, Aremu Afolayan hosted a few friends and coworkers.

In the backdrop, food was being prepared while the actor and his well-wishers were visible in a courtyard.

Among those who attended were comedian Jedi, filmmaker Kayode Alubarika, actors Taiwo Hassan “Ogogo,” Folorunsho Adeola, and Bimbo Thomas.

Aremu Afolayan who hosted friends and colleagues on Thursday, November 7 while marking his mother’s 8th day demise was paid a condolence visit by many.

Actress Bimbo Thomas on getting to the venue and meeting her colleague, embraced him in a show of support.

Actress Folorunsho Adeola was also at the event and veteran actor Taiwo Hassan better known as Ogogo arrived later and hugged his female colleagues who knelt down respectfully to greet him.

Filmmaker Kayode Alubarika, Comedyjedi were amongst those who visited Aremu Afolayan. They shared hugs and some exciting moments in the videos seen on social media. See some videos below:

Earlier, Aremu expressed grief on Instagram over his mother’s death. He posted a video showing heartfelt moments with her. He captioned the post:

“Maami… Rest well. May the Lord, in His mercy, grant you happiness wherever you may be. I love you,”

Aremu’s brother, Kunle Afolayan broke the news of their mother’s death on social media. He wrote:


“It is hard to accept but she surely lived a good life👼 Our mother Maami Omoladun Ayanladun Afolayan has gone to rest. (1943-2024) She’s survived by children and grandchildren. Please put us in your prayers. Omo re a gbeyin gbogbo wa.”

Condolence messages have since poured in from fans, friends and colleagues across the entertainment industry.
Kunle’s post included a collection of photos, capturing moments with his mother, siblings and other family members.
