The 30-year-old Brazilian superstar shared a photo to his Instagram account where he was posing while wearing a gray T-shirt. Several images of Neymar’s countryman from his time at Real Madrid were displayed on his shirt, including Vinicius’ Champions League triumph from the previous year.

He beaming with pride as he supported the 22-year-old wonderkid, but others were understandably surprised by the Real Madrid-themed shirt given his history with rivals Barcelona.

Neymar spent four years with the Catalan club before to his 2017 £200 million transfer to Paris Saint-Germain. He made 186 games and scored 105 goals while winning two La Liga crowns and a Champions League medal.

The 14 goals and 11 assists Neymar has already contributed this season will undoubtedly give Brazilians hope that this could be their year to win a record-setting sixth World Cup.
