The HEADIES condemned such crimes and are fiercely opposed to the uttering of any threats on actions that violate our laws, according to a public declaration released on social media by the organisers.
Mr. Okikiola’s acts have been reported to the Nigerian Police Force by fellow award nominees.

The organisers also ordered that Portable remove the video from his social media channels as soon as possible, as well as a formal apology to the nominees in the categories he threatened.

Portable later apologised to the organisers and claimed that he was only trying to stand up for the streets because it’s unusual that guys like him get to that level.
