David Adeleke, a.k.a. Davido, is an Afro-pop singer. Davido has admitted that he had no idea he was born into wealth as a child.
On a recent podcast, ‘Earn Your Leisure,’ the philanthropist singer revealed this.
In his words: “My dad is humble and modest with the way he spends and goes about his business. Basically the way he handles his business. It’s still amazing to me. I remember growing up from my younger days till I was eleven, I remember my dad coming home late every day, building something. I didn’t know what he was doing, I didn’t even know he was rich. I didn’t know my dad was rich till I was 13.He lived so normal, I didn’t know he was a billionaire. I remember he had a brand new silver Honda Accord, he had a driver. My parents lived so modest, until they moved out of the house to a new house”.

Davido also noted that when he first became a prominent artiste, he didn’t have time to plan, sit back and strategize about what he really wanted to do.
“When you first blow up, there is a phase you think everything is happening so fast and you don’t have time to plan, sit back and know what you really want to do.For years I was my own artistes , going on tours back to back”.
