Mr Ibu, a well-known movie star, has responded to controversy following a video of him drumming up support for ex-Lagos state governor Ahmed Bolaji Tinubu.
A video of Mr Ibu and some well-known Nollywood veterans at an event dubbed ‘South West Stands with Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’ recently went viral on social media, in which the movie stars endorsed Tinubu for president in 2023.
This video, on the other hand, sparked a lot of reaction online, with many people believing that they had been bought over by the politician.

Mr Ibu reacted to this by stating in a video that he is an entertainer who was invited to perform what he does best, which is act.
He owes his allegiance to former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, whom he claims has done a lot for him.
