According to a Nigerian attorney, a court in Enugu punished a woman 150 000 Naira (N150,000) for failing to appear after she accepted 3,000 Naira (N3,000) from a guy for her transportation ticket.
The attorney going by the handle @Egi nupe_ claimed to have seen the incident on the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) page and chose to share it.
After receiving the money, the woman allegedly paid N3k for a taxi fare and turned off her phone. The man she was supposed to meet with felt cheated and filed a lawsuit, which was ultimately decided in his favor.
