It is true that Baba Alaran’s passing was a great loss to the Yoruba Nollywood industry and to his fans. He had a long and successful career in acting and comedy, and his talent will be greatly missed.

Baba Alaran was widely recognized for his humorous acting style, often playing characters who were not particularly sensible and providing comic relief in his movie scenes.

Interestingly, Baba Alaran did not originally set out to become an actor. He worked as a driver for the Awada KeriKeri Theatre Group, but when another actor failed to show up for a movie location, Baba Alaran was given the opportunity to step in and act. This accidental beginning marked the start of his successful career in the Nigerian movie industry.

Despite his unconventional start, Baba Alaran’s talent and hard work made him a respected and beloved figure in Nollywood. His legacy lives on as he inspired many others in the industry and his humor and memorable performances continue to be enjoyed by fans.

Baba Alaran was a respected member of the Fadeyi Caucus of Movie Producers, a group that included other prominent figures in the Nigerian film industry, such as Pa Kasumu, Adewale Elesho, Jide Kosoko, Otolo, and many more.

In addition to his successful career in acting and comedy, Baba Alaran was also known for his dedication to his family. He was married to one wife, with whom he had four children. This aspect of his personal life demonstrates his strong commitment to his loved ones and his sense of responsibility beyond his work as an actor.

Meet Deji The Son Of Baba Alaran

One of Baba Alaran’s children, Adedeji Oladokun ‘Alaran’, has followed in his father’s footsteps and is also an entertainer and actor. Like his father, Deji Alaran is a talented performer and has studied Conservation Science and Tourism at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife.

Deji Oladokun Alaran organized an event in 2019 to commemorate the 13th anniversary of his late father, Baba Alaran. The event, titled ‘The Mark of a Legend,’ took the form of a show and was attended by several notable Yoruba Nollywood actors, including Mr. Latin, Muyiwa Ademola, Femi Adebayo, and Adedimeji Lateef, among others. It was a fitting tribute to Baba Alaran’s legacy and an opportunity for those in the industry to come together and celebrate his life and contributions to Nollywood.

In 2020, Deji Alaran married his partner, Sera Miller, in a ceremony held on March 14th. The couple celebrated their union with loved ones and friends.

Deji Alaran is also a proud father to a lovely daughter who was born in 2018. His growing family is a testament to the joy and fulfillment that he finds both in his personal life and career as an entertainer.
