On Thursday night, Manchester United had to fight hard to defeat Aston Villa.

After Anthony Martial had tied the score after Ollie Watkins had given the visitors the lead, Villa regained the advantage thanks to an own goal from Diogo Dalot.

Rashford, however, pulled United square, and goals from Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay ultimately advanced their team to the competition’s next round.

Rashford was interviewed by Sky Sports following the game.

The 24-year-old attacker was forced to accept the player of the game trophy for himself because the presenters and analysts failed to give it to him.

He can be seen picking it up in a video posted by Football Daily, with Peter Schmeichel and Mark Chapman finding the situation amusing.

Schmeichel remarked, “You forgot to give him the prize.”

Chapman answered with a laugh, “So I did.” He is holding the player of the match trophy, as you can see.

“Good job, Peter. You bringing that up will make the sponsors very happy.

“There are so many tables that I can’t focus.”

Speaking after his heroics against Villa, Rashford discussed his impressive play for United and insisted he prefers playing on the left wing to the top or the right.
