After his contract was mutually terminated in November, Ronaldo departed the team. He later traveled to Saudi Arabia to sign a lucrative two-and-a-half-year contract with Al-Nassr.

However, as United supporters opened their new official club calendars for 2023 after the new year, they were met by Ronaldo’s face.

To the amusement of followers on social media, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is the calendar’s star of the month for January, with the page bearing his picture and name.

Who selected Ronaldo for December 2022 and January 2023 on your official calendars, one fan wondered on Twitter? Someone else commented, “May your new year start off better than whoever created the official Manchester United calendar for 2023.”

The Red Devils’ 2022 calendar featured Ronaldo as the face of December, although he had already departed the team before the month ever began.

Following his departure from Old Trafford, the club also reduced the cost of Ronaldo memorabilia in their online shop; for example, a red t-shirt bearing his name and the club’s logo has been reduced from £20 to just £4.

In Manchester United’s 2023 calendar, January is represented by Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo badges are only $1 online, and Ronaldo keyrings and magnets are now available for £2, down from $5.

Two months after leaving, the 37-year-old has found a new team and was introduced by Al-Nassr on Tuesday. He signed a contract worth an estimated £173 million per year total.

At his unveiling, he spoke about his deal and said: “I’m a special player, so it’s great to be here. I broke every record there, and now I want to break a couple more here. Because I am a unique player and this contract is also unique, it is normal for me.”

While Ronaldo left the United team, the team has been quick to claim that they have moved on. Christian Eriksen stated this week: “First of all, we are sad that Ronaldo is not part of it.

“His history and name are significant at any club, and it was a pleasure for me to have the opportunity to play with him during my career.

But the game continues. You have the impression that after the next game, people will no longer remember how things used to be since we are so focused on other things.
