Mbappe was blunt in his criticism of Hakimi, telling the 23-year-old that apologizing for his lackluster performance was insufficient and that he needed to rewatch the video.

After the half of their League 1 match, Mbappe approached Hakimi in the tunnel. He was overheard behaving negatively toward his PSG teammate for a poor pass.

Mbappe told Hakimi to review the video in order to comprehend his error, appearing to be pretty upset about the scenario.

“Watch the video,” the French international swore. Hakimi reacted coolly, saying, “If it’s that that, I’m sorry.”

But Mbappe retaliated angrily, telling his teammate, “It’s not enough to be sorry, give a fantastic ball!”

The event occurred at a time when team dynamics at Paris Saint-Germain were under scrutiny.

For instance, Mbappe and Neymar’s friendship has been under scrutiny after Lionel Messi moved to Barcelona last year.

It is said that after the arrival of the Argentina international, Mbappe’s relationship with the Brazilian star grew difficult.

The two have become increasingly tense, spilling over into the 2022–2023 campaign. Neymar refused to allow Mbappe to take a penalty during PSG’s match against Montpellier earlier this season, and the two clashed on the field.

Neymar scored from the penalty spot in the 5-2 victory after the Frenchman had already missed one earlier in the contest.

Despite appearances, Mbappe downplayed his disagreement with Neymar. This is my sixth year working with Neymar, he said. This kind of respectful friendship has always existed between us, albeit occasionally with warmer and colder moments.

It’s just how our connection is. As a player, he is someone I greatly respect. Moments like that happen when two players have such strong personalities, but they are always handled respectfully and in PSG’s best interests.
