Yomi Fabiyi, a Nollywood actor, has brought up the issue of his sex-for-role controversy with his colleague Mo Bimpe, suggesting that several men in the entertainment industry had sexual relationships with her, and referring to Toyin Abraham in his disclosure. Yomi Fabiyi recounted in a recent interview how he aided Mo Bimpe in gaining fame by casting her in his film when she was unknown.

Yomi Fabiyi exposed how Mo Bimpe betrayed and abandoned him after he had helped advance her career and facilitated her mentorship under Toyin Abraham. Yomi claimed that when Mo Bimpe first met Toyin at his location, Toyin did not respond to her greetings. Yomi emphasized that he never requested sexual favors from Mo Bimpe before casting her in his movie.

Furthermore, he accused the wife of Lateef Adedimeji of attempting to shift blame onto him and falsely accuse him of sexual assault, despite having had multiple sexual partners prior to her marriage. In his words:

“I made Actress Mo Bimpe who she is today by starring her in my movie when nobody knew her and I never asked her for sex before I put her in the movie. The Toyin she made her mentor today didn’t respond when she greeted her the first time they met at my location. Why is she screaming my name for Sexual assault when many men have slept with her before she settled down”.

There have been long-standing rumors of an affair between Mo Bimpe and Yomi Fabiyi during their time working together. However, Mo Bimpe contradicted these reports by stating that Yomi did not express romantic interest in her until after filming for his movie, Oko Iyabo, which played a significant role in her rise to fame. She recounted Yomi’s statement that if he had known she would reject his advances, he would have expressed his feelings before casting her in the movie.

Mo Bimpe also revealed that she is no longer on speaking terms with Yomi Fabiyi. According to her, Yomi gave her an ultimatum to either date him or become his enemy, leaving her no option but to choose the latter.
