Karim Benzema and Kylian Mbappé are French national team colleagues that get along well. This has been shown on numerous occasions. However, the drama surrounding Kylian’s future and his decision to stay at PSG may have caused a slight squabble.

One of Benzema’s Instagram stories features the late American rapper Tupac Shakur, who was betrayed in 1996.

Because the Real Madrid player’s post occurred at the same time as it became known that Mbappé would remain at PSG and would so decline the opportunity to play for Real Madrid, the timing is ambiguous.

Why Tupac?

Tupac died in Las Vegas, Nevada, in September 1996, after some of his pals allegedly betrayed him. At the time, the famous rapper, often regarded as hip-finest hop’s exponent, was embroiled in a spat between West Coast and East Coast musicians.

Tupac’s pal The Notorious B.I.G., who represented the East Coast while Tupac was from the West, was one of the suspicions, though it was never confirmed. In March 1997, six months after Tupac’s assassination, The Notorious B.I.G. was shot and killed in Los Angeles.
