How Veteran Actress Sola Sobowale is taking Acting To New Heights.

Like the proverbial colossus, she has graced the Nigerian film industry. But, with the publication of the epic Politico-Social film King of Boys: Return of the King by Neflix last week, her acting prowess reached new heights.

With her mastery of her role in the second part of the film produced by Kemi Adetiba, Sobowale, who played Madam Eniola Salami, gained more recognition across the country and even the world.

For her main part in the film, she has garnered positive feedback from moviegoers. Of course, Sobowale is no stranger to the Nigerian film industry, as the 57-year-old actor has successfully navigated both the English and Yoruba versions of Nollywood. According to the movie studio in the United States,

“When a prominent businesswoman’s political ambitions are threatened by her criminal ties, the power struggle that ensues could cost her everything.”

That is why Sobowale, who was born in Ondo State, gave her audience a memorable performance. Sobowale is a screenwriter, actress, director, and producer, among other things. Joseph Olagookun and Esther Olagookun have a child. Sobowale made her Nollywood debut on December 26, 1963, in the launch of Nigeria’s iconic television drama series Super Story: Oh Father, Oh Daughter.

She has previously appeared in The Village Headmaster, Mirror in the Sun, and Asewo To Re Mecca, a Yoruba film. Sola Sobowale began her acting career by appearing in a number of films produced by the Awada Kerikeri Group, which is led by Adebayo Salami.

She has scripted, co-scripted, directed, and produced several Nigerian films over the years, including Ohun Oko Somida, a 2010 Nigerian film starring Adebayo Salami, as well as Dangerous Twins, a 2004 drama film produced by Tade Ogidan, and Family on Fire, a 2006 drama film produced and directed by Tade Ogidan.

I’m married and have four children. Sobowale is a brand ambassador for Mouka’s Wellbeing line of mattresses. For her portrayal in the 2018 Nigerian film King of Boys, Sobowale won the African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) for Best Actress in a Leading Role.

She has also appeared in a number of films in Nigeria, spanning the length and breadth of the business.
