Cristiano Ronaldo, a striker for Manchester United, is refusing to go to Napoli.

Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s agent, has tried to arrange for his client to move to Napoli, where he would be given a free transfer and United would agree to pay a large portion of his salary.

Ronaldo is reportedly allegedly backing away from negotiations, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Napoli’s chances of advancing past their Champions League group this season haven’t persuaded Ronaldo.

The 37-year-old Portuguese is also hoping Chelsea will make another attempt to sign him before this week’s transfer deadline.
