Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso has admitted he is putting in extra effort to keep Victor Boniface focused on football, given the forward’s cheerful personality.

Boniface, known for his playful interactions on social media, was a standout player in Leverkusen’s successful Bundesliga campaign last season. The 23-year-old contributed 14 goals and nine assists in 23 league appearances for Die Werkself.
