Before it’s too late, “Please Fire Him” Chelsea fans mock Potter following their 1-0 loss to Dortmund

Chelsea suffered a disastrous 1-0 loss to an alert Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 encounter at the Signal Iduna Park Friday night, extending their winless record to four straight games (D3).

Both teams started the second half in exciting fashion after a lackluster first half that resulted in a scoreless stalemate. They were both looking for a winner. Karim Adeyemi’s sensational solo goal following a rapid transition gave the hosts the lead in the 63rd minute, though.

The visitors made a comeback and attempted to score an equalizer in the final ten minutes, but Dortmund’s defense held firm to secure a 1-0 victory and they will enter their rematch against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge with a slim lead.

Following the game, Chelsea supporters vented their anger on Twitter about their manager Graham Potter, with many saying that he isn’t the right person for the job and that he should be fired before it’s too late because the team faces a real chance of missing out on next season’s European competitions.

Since taking over the club’s management, the former Brighton manager has battled mightily and has received harsh criticism from the Blues supporter base.
