Even though their top scorer Gabriel Jesus would undoubtedly miss the game due to a knee injury sustained at the World Cup, Arteta has speculated that Saliba might play for his squad.

He stated: “Everyone arrived safely and is present.

“Some people arrived sooner than anticipated, and they were thrilled to be there and a part of it.

“I sense a really positive spirit here.

“They immediately embraced the beat and our goals.

They are in a great position. Gabriel Jesus’ injury is obviously a significant setback, and we’ll be without him for a while.

“The season has challenges; that is a challenge we must meet, but if you want to be at the top, those challenges will exist.”

Arsenal was in excellent form and atop the Premier League standings as the World Cup break began.

And against David Moyes‘ Hammers, who are struggling in the league this year as the team resides in 16th position, they will be looking to extend that trend.
