Popular R&B singer, dancer, and actor Chris Maurice Brown just took to his Instagram stories to share a post of his newly adopted Yoruba name which was made up by most of his Nigerian fans. Since he has featured so much on Nigerian songs, & has reportedly started speaking the Nigerian Pidgin, many believe that he is becoming fully Nigerian than American.

There has been many American artists who have collaborated with Nigerian musicians, but Chris Brown seems to be the only one that is constant amongst them because he keeps coming back for more. Before African music became the global sensation that it is now, Chris Brown is reported to have always loved the sounds from Nigeria.

Wizkid has had Chris in his music from one of his albums in 2017 called ‘African Bad Gyal’. And in 2019, he gave Davido one of the biggest songs off his “A Good Time album.” Not to mention, his recent songs with Rema and Fireboy DML, also after posting his new Yoruba name all that is left according to fans is to get a Nigerian citizenship.
