Adesua Etomi Wellington, a Nollywood actress and singer, has received an honorary degree from Wolverhampton University in the UK, her alma mater.
The actress earned a degree in drama and performance from the university in 2009.
Adesua Etomi received a Doctor of Arts degree over the weekend in honor of her outstanding commitment to the arts and culture.

The University of Kent, which is Tiwa Savage’s alma mater, had shortlisted her and many others to receive the prestigious degree.

In an official statement, the University of Kent described the singer as one of the inspirational individuals who will be awarded with the degree.
Tiwa Savage completed a degree in Business Administration at the University before winning a scholarship to study Professional Music at the Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.
