Seun Egbegbe, a well-known producer and director who has won numerous awards, has unveiled his upcoming project after serving a six-year prison sentence.

One of the well-known directors in the Yoruba section of the Nollywood industry is Seun Egbegbe, 44. He was detained on February 10, 2017, allegedly for fraud.

However, Mr. Seun Egbegbe was recently released after a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, found him guilty of just one of the 44 offences brought against him.

Seun Egbegbe stated in an interview with BBC Yoruba that he did not engage in any fraud but was grateful to God for the experience he had in jail because he is now a born-again Christian.

He mentioned how many of his friends had abandoned him while he was incarcerated and left him to his fate.

He disclosed that his next endeavour would be to establish a foundation to serve the needs of prisoners all across the nation because he is familiar with their circumstances thanks to his time spent at Ikoyi Maximum Prison.
