Ibrahim Chatta’s full name is Ibrahim Abiodun Chatta, and he is of Tapa (Nupe) origin, however his mother is from Modakeke, Osun State. He was born in Bachita, in the Edu Local Government Area of Kwara State, Nigeria’s middle belt state, on October 13th, 1970. He has worked in Nollywood as an actor, singer, writer, and producer.

Ibrahim Chatta is a big fan of theatre productions and goes to them whenever a troupe comes to town. He had the opportunity to observe famous actors such as the late Duro Ladipo, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), and Ray Eyiwunmi perform (baba Ray). These performances motivated him, and he decided to pursue a career in acting.
Ibrahim began his professional career in 1985, when he joined Joseph Laoye (Uncle Joe), a baba Ray product. This was his springboard to becoming the great actor he is now.
Despite his Tada ancestry, his grasp and usage of the Yoruba language are astounding; his proficiency and fluency in the language have opened the path for him in his great career as a Yoruba actor.

Ibrahim not only speaks with authority but also sings with remarkable fluency. He has performed over 100 soundtracks, numerous commercial jingles in the Yoruba language.
