The perceived strain in the relationship between Osimhen and Napoli surfaced a few months ago when a viral video from Napoli’s official TikTok account mocked the player. Responding to the incident, Osimhen seemingly removed all Napoli-related content from his Instagram and displayed visible discontent during subsequent appearances at Napoli’s facilities.

This incident occurred against the backdrop of ongoing contract negotiations between Napoli and Osimhen, reportedly causing disruptions in the talks.

Despite not yet finalizing a new contract with Napoli, Osimhen asserted in his press conference that his bond with the club remains robust. He aimed to rectify the misconception that he had been mistreated by Napoli or its president, Aurelio de Laurentiis.

Addressing the video incident, Osimhen attributed it to a “stupid mistake by an individual,” indicating that it was an isolated occurrence and had been resolved by the club.
