Queen Salawa Abeni, a Waka exponent, is currently blissfully married.

Startled? She had, up until recently, chosen to keep their union private. However, on Sunday, she decided to open up at her husband’s retirement/birthday party in Lagos.

Her first spouse was Alhaji Lateef Adepoju, who owned Leaders Records. She was previously married to Alhaji Ayinla Kollington, with whom she had two children.

Salawa, 62, who has been involved in music since she was 13, has undoubtedly discovered love in her latter years.

Rasheed Agbolade Adahunse, a retired comptroller, is her new love. On November 12, 2012, the man from Ijebu Isiwo celebrated his birthday and retirement. It was an occasion to celebrate him and his good deeds while in the Customs with family and friends in attendance.

The Asiwaju Adinni of Ijebu Isiwo is Adahunse.

Exclusive information obtained by Kemiashefonlovehaven claims that Salawa wed the retired customs officer four years ago.
“I don’t have much words to utter, let me thank God, I will just say a bit about Alhaji Abdulrasheed Agbolade, my dearest husband,” she said during her speech at the party when asked to discuss Adahunse. You are retired but not worn out. I pray that, just as God brought us together four years ago as husband and wife, you will have a long and prosperous life. While you perceived me as a musician, I saw you back then as a fully “English” man. But love prevailed over all. I did not make a bad decision. Call me Abeni, Idunu Ishola, starting today.

Salawa, who had recently recovered from a health crisis that had plagued her for nearly five years, said, “I was once married to Chief Kollington Ayinla but we are no longer together,” in response to Kemi Ashefon’s 2019 question on if she would be married again. I have no comment to make because the union produced amazing kids. I’m single right now, but I have beautiful children. It’s excellent that a woman may have a successful career and maintain her marriage. That’s a benefit. Nevertheless, this does not imply that a divorced or single lady behaves badly; she is not out of the ordinary. It might be difficult, and these women ought to move on and cease viewing everyone as an enemy.

They should also learn to disregard any disparaging remarks made by others. No lady exists who is not interested in getting married. I think everyone can have a fresh start from God, even though there can be obstacles. I am aware that God can offer me a fresh start even at my age. So, keep trying!
