Sunday Adeyemo alias Sunday Igboho, a Yoruba nation activist, has been ordered by an Oyo State High Court to pay the Department of State Services (DSS) N20 billion for unlawfully raiding his Ibadan property on July 1.

In the fundamental human rights complaint filed by Igboho, Justice Ladiran Akintola granted the sum as exemplary and aggravated damages against the DSS on Friday.

In Oyo state, Igboho sued the AGF, the DSS, and the DSS director.

 

The agitator sought N5.5 billion in damages for the raid on his residence in Ibadan.

 

Following the raid, two people were claimed to have been slain, while 12 others were apprehended.
