Two people have been detained, according to the Ondo State Police Command, in relation to the death of Abiodun Akintomowo in Ondo town, Ondo State, on Tuesday.
After allegedly engaging in a sexual altercation with a woman who was thought to be his girlfriend on Sunday in a hotel in the Akinjagunla community, Akintomowo reportedly passed away.
One of the suspects was the deceased’s girlfriend, according to State Police Public Relations Officer Mrs. Funmilayo Odunlami, who declined to identify the other suspect. The second suspect is the proprietor of the hotel where the incident took place.

According to the PPRO, “The man (deceased) was rushed to the hospital because he was not feeling well following the sexual encounter with the woman in the hotel.”
The deceased’s remains had been placed in the town’s hospital morgue, she said, but the investigation into the matter was still ongoing.
According to a source, after the purported sex romp, the deceased collapsed in the hotel room, prompting the woman to sound the alarm.
“When she saw that the man had fallen, she went to the alarm.” The hotel manager and a few of the residents hurried to the man’s aid and tried their best to save him. The source said, “He was later confirmed dead.
He continued by saying that the hotel’s management had later reported the incident to the local Yaba Divisional Police Station.
The police arrived on the scene and took the deceased person’s lifeless body to the University of Medical Sciences morgue in Ondo town.
