Hazel Oyeze Onou, popularly known as Whitemoney and winner of Big Brother Naija Season 6, shared an incident in which he was prevented from meeting the Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy at a Lagos party.
Contrary to rumors that he was denied access by Burna Boy’s bouncers, Whitemoney clarified that it was his own security personnel who prevented him from meeting the ‘African Giant’ singer.
Whitemoney, who is also a singer, emphasized the importance of maintaining a connection with fans who contribute to a celebrity’s success through their support and consumption of their content, likening it to how people vote for politicians and expect access to them.

During an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the reality star explained, ‘We were at a party, and I heard that Burnaboy had just arrived. I’m a huge fan of Burna; I left my location to greet him. I asked if I could say hello to Burna, and they asked why? That’s when I decided to step back, so people thought it was Burna Boy’s bouncers preventing me, but it was actually my security personnel who advised me to leave the area.’
Whitemoney further expressed his belief in maintaining a connection with fans and supporters who play a crucial role in a celebrity’s rise to fame and career success. He highlighted the importance of access to those who have voted and supported him throughout his journey, drawing parallels with politics and the expectation of constituents to have access to their elected representatives.
