Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool star, has stated that he is “pleased” to learn that Barcelona is interested in signing him.
The 29-year-old, on the other hand, says that he would prefer to remain in England.
According to reports in Spain, new Barcelona coach Xavi is dead set on bringing Salah to Camp Nou.
Salah, meanwhile, is in talks to extend his contract at Anfield, which is slated to expire in the summer of 2023.
Salah is adamant about committing his future to Liverpool, despite the Catalan club’s interest in him.
He told Egyptian channel MBC, “I read what was said about Xavi’s interest in signing me.”
“It makes me happy that a club like Barcelona is interested in me, but I’m happy in Liverpool for now, and we’ll see what happens in the future.”
I’d rather stay in the Premier League right now because it’s the best league in the world.”
