Why I sang about #ENDSARS protest in ‘Ozumba Mbadiwe’ -Reekado Banks reveal

Reekado Banks, a popular singer, is now receiving positive feedback for his new song “Ozumba Mbadiwe.” The lively tune is currently one of the most popular songs on the radio.

“I have seen Ozumba Mbadiwe road more than I have seen many things,” Banks replied when questioned about the strange title of the song. You can imagine why this road might excite me after so many trips along it.

The highway is constantly congested. When people were looking for me and inquiring about my whereabouts? Only Ozumba Mbadiwe Road was familiar to me. Ozumba and I both have a lot on our plates. I’m focused on improving myself. Unfortunately, the peaceful demonstrators were shot and killed on the same road. It’s only natural to talk about the issues that worry me and all of us. “I’m just glad that everyone can relate to the song’s message,” he told Hip Tv

The ‘Oluwa ni’ crooner who was once signed to the Don Jazzy led Mavin Records also shed light on his reason for exiting the record label in 2018.

Asked why he left, he said: “In life you have to find new adventures. You can’t just want to be in’SS3’ for life. You want to try something else. It took me sometime to figure out in all honesty. But we are here now”.
