Man Utd’s decision has left Cavani “sad and disappointed.”

Edinson Cavani, a Manchester United striker, is dissatisfied with the club’s decision to prevent him from representing Uruguay during the international break.

The 34-year-old describes himself as “sad and upset.”

Cavani was one of 50 players whose travel to nations on the UK’s COVID-19 travel red list was prohibited by the Premier League.

He has since confessed that he is dissatisfied with the decision, but that he respects it.

This comes as a result of United’s decision to remove him from the number 7 shirt and transfer it over to Cristiano Ronaldo, who has returned to the club.

Cavani will now wear the number 21 for the rest of the season, like he does for Uruguay.

We’re vulnerable to decisions made by the organizers of particular events and leagues, and either of the two outcomes is bad for us.

“With the national team, we don’t get rich. We have a responsibility to ourselves as well as a moral obligation to defend our country.

Cavani told AUFTV via El Observador, which was translated by Sport Witness, that “we gain wealth by wearing the national team’s jersey.”
