Following the Indigenous People of Biafra’s (IPOB) pronouncement of a sit-at-home order, students from the Comprehensive Secondary School, Nkume, in the Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, were chased home by unknown gunmen on Monday.

Armed men reportedly stormed the school while pupils were sitting for the ongoing 2021 West African School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) and forced the students to leave.

The incident’s details are still unclear, however the hoodlums were said to have wrecked some properties during the attack.

CSP Mike Abattam, the Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, was unable to receive calls or respond to text messages provided to him.
