Ronaldo would never play for Man City, according to Solskjaer.

Cristiano Ronaldo will never play for Manchester City, according to Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

During the final days of the transfer window, City were interested in signing Ronaldo as a striker.

But, according to Solskjaer, the 36-year-old was never supposed to play at the Etihad Stadium.

When asked if Ronaldo was close to joining City, Solskjaer stated, “I don’t think there was any likelihood of that.”

Ronaldo will battle with compatriot Bruno Fernandes for penalty duties, but Solskjaer insists he will make the final decision on who takes penalty kicks.

Solskjaer stated, “I knew that question was going to arise, and of course I’ve had a chat with the two of them.” “We have two players there that I would trust with my life to take a penalty kick, and that’s a fantastic position to be in.

It will be up to me to decide what will happen. When they’re asked to take the penalty, the two of them will continue to do what they’ve always done.

“Of course, I’ve had this chat with them, and they’re aware of my viewpoint. They are aware that I choose who will take the penalty shot if we are awarded one. That isn’t going to be a problem.”
