Ijeoma Thomas, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, recently spent millions of naira on a new Mercedes Benz.
This raised suspicions because it has become fashionable for female celebrities to own luxury cars and live lavish lifestyles, but when queried about the Sugar Daddy behind her current multimillion naira car, she insisted that only hard work and consistency had gotten her this far.
No sugar daddy is financing me; believe me, it is reserved for the uneducated. I believe that if you have enough money, you can do whatever you want with it; you don’t even have to be a celebrity to be happy or live the life you want to live. At this stage in my life, the last thing I want to worry about is what other people think or say about me. In addition to acting, I operate Palladio boutique, manage contracts, and run a production company,” she explained.
The fair-skinned actress also explained why female superstars are more successful than their male counterparts.
“To be honest, I disagree with this because guys have more contacts,” she explains. These days, they have more connections than women. Remember that just because a woman isn’t successful in any manner doesn’t imply she doesn’t look good or lovely. The movie is very profitable for boys; it pays well, takes care of their debts, and many other things, but not everyone has the same opportunity and favor.”
