Three teenage males, aged 17 to 20, were detained in the early hours of Saturday, January 29 by men from the Ogun state police command for reportedly killing a girlfriend of one of their friends for a money-making ceremony.
Warez Oladehinde, 17 years old, Abdul Gafar Lukman, 19 years old, and Mustakeem Balogun, 20 years old, were all arrested after the head of the community security guard reported to Adatan divisional headquarters that the suspects were seen burning something suspected to be a human head in a local pot.
During interrogation, the captured criminals admitted that the head of their accomplice’s girlfriend was being burned in the neighborhood pot. They also admitted that the girl, just known as Rofiat, was brought by her lover, simply known as Solid, to a location where she was murdered by four of them, following which they chopped off her head and discarded the remains in an old building.

They then led police officers to the building, where the dismembered body was found and sent to the general hospital mortuary for autopsy. A small cutlass and a knife that was used to cut off the deceased’s head were also found.
